/ About Me

I am Caroline (Caro) Gaya, an expert in both equestrian and personal training. I assist horse owners who care about well-being in creating a trusting bond between them and their horses, aiming for the best results in competition.

SADDLE FITTER

Saddle Fitting is an essential link to unlock the maximum potential of both the rider and the horse. It also ensures a long and healthy sport life for both athletes.

HORSE TRAINING

After many years of training with different methods throughout Europe, what I aim to share is the role of a physiotherapist/mentor for the rider, in order to prepare the body and attitude of the horse to perform at a high level.

RIDER TRAINING

I started practicing Yoga for the first time in 2009. It turned out to be a wonderful preparation for horseback riding and, progressively, a core element in my life. I have selected a combination of sequences that can benefit your riding and mobility the most. And I have linked it to horse training as a clear resonance.

/ My Approach

• Experienced in body adjustments, core, and flexibility development in horses and humans
• Development of flexibility in both horses and humans
• Eagerness to refine sensations
• Enjoyment of technical details
• Developed ability in reading body language
• Refined tactile sense and precise practical adjustments

HOLISTIC

I am here to help you and your horse unlock your true potential together.

My goal is to contribute to a new holistic training model in the equestrian industry, envisioning riding as a way to keep your horse healthy and happy in its body while achieving top-level competition results.

EQUESTRIAN BACKGROUND

I was a Bereiter in various Grand Prix stables, including Paul Schockemöhle's in Germany, and I trained in the most important equestrian traditions worldwide: France, Spain, Germany, England, and the Netherlands.

Along the way, I was trained by Fabien Godelle (Saumur, Fr), Antonio Cotán (Seville, Sp), Jose Marie Sanchez Cobos (Jerez, Sp), Hank Van Bergen (Hol), Gaby Klaphake (Ger), Paul Hayler (UK), Remy Bastings (Hol), José Manuel Lucena (Spain).

With over 28 years of experience, my method focuses on rider and horse preparation, and the crucial role of the saddle.

My support for riders is based on a practice of dynamic Yoga (Ashtanga Vinyasa), which I have cultivated over 15 years at an international level.

YOGA JOURNEY

I have been practicing for 15 years and teaching for 12 years.

First, I completed two 200-hour Yoga Alliance certifications in Rishikesh, India.

Later, in 2015, Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga set me back on track after an injury from falling off a horse. I found true transformation in the repetition of the series and in the Mysore Style (self-practice with assistance). In 2017, I completed a year of apprenticeship with Kia Naddermier, an international Ashtanga Yoga teacher (Mysore Yoga Paris), as an assistant, helping her during workshops throughout Europe (Paris, Oslo, Stockholm, Southern France, Southern Spain, etc.).

I continue to study and learn about the practice of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga continuously, currently following the teachings of Ty Landrum with inspiration.

  • Horse training sessions aim to prepare the horse to be mentally relaxed and physically available, performing at its best under the pressure of competition. It involves physical and mental preparation before training.

  • I offer coaching sessions for riders aimed at helping you naturally find yourself more balanced, confident, and relaxed in the saddle. Using the practice of Yoga, I aim to share a powerful tool to help you stay fit and focused, as well as recover from an injury. Or even better, prevent injuries altogether. A brief but consistent practice can bring about change.
